Once he finally addressed the topic, Rock jokingly claimed that everyone knows what happened that night, and that the incident still haunts him to this day. He went on to explain that he was not a victim and would not be airing his grievances on any talk shows or to the public at large. Rock also confirmed that the slap did, in fact, hurt, noting that Smith is much larger than him and even played Muhammad Ali in a movie.

In addition to discussing the slap, Chris Rock also brought up the “Red Table Talk” episode featuring Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, where they discussed her affair. Although he claimed to have had no involvement in the matter, Rock criticized the couple’s actions and questioned why they would engage in such “lowdown” behavior. He also revealed that he attempted to reach out to Smith after the episode aired but received no response.

Rock showed his admiration for Will Smith

Despite the incident, Rock expressed his admiration for Smith and his work, but also took one last jab, stating that he watches Smith’s latest movie, “Emancipation,” just to see him get beaten. He concluded his performance by explaining that he did not retaliate because he was raised not to fight in front of white people, citing the importance of respect and composure in such situations.

Moreover, Chris Rock used his comedic platform to address the slap he received from Will Smith, while also commenting on Smith’s personal life and expressing his respect for him as an actor.
