In her first-ever WarGames bout, AJ Lee sealed the night with a submission victory, snagging the win for her team in dramatic fashion.
AJ Lee Secures the Win with Submission Hold
Lee hooked in the Black Widow on Becky Lynch during Saturday’s showdown, clinching the win for herself and her powerhouse teammates—Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY—after a grueling 41-minute clash.
Their victory over Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and The Kabuki Warriors kicked off this year’s Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event at Petco Park in San Diego.
Lynch found herself trapped in a brutal one-on-five disadvantage after her entire team was wiped out by a wild Swanton Bomb from IYO SKY. SKY launched herself off the top of the cage with a trashcan over her head, crashing down on everyone below in one of the night’s most chaotic high-risk moments.

Moments later, Ripley blasted Lynch with a Riptide, leaving her vulnerable to Lee’s signature submission. Lynch tapped, closing out the match.
Before the finish, the ring had already turned into a full-blown armory. Ripley brought SKY’s trash can and a stash of black kendo sticks into the cage. Kairi Sane introduced a steel chain, using it during a Kabuki Special with Asuka. Even Lynch joined in, swinging her own kendo stick into the fray.
Lee’s Second In-Ring Appearance on WWE Since her Return
Lee delivered one of the early highlights as she made her entrance. When Lynch tried to shut her out by slamming the cage door, Lee simply scaled the structure and climbed over the top to join the fight.
This match marked only Lee’s second in-ring appearance since her long-awaited return earlier this year and her first Survivor Series showing since 2014, when she dropped the Divas Championship to Nikki Bella in a 34-second shocker.
Saturday was also a milestone for Lash Legend, who wrestled her first official main roster match after previously competing regularly on NXT.
One final tweak to this year’s WarGames format: instead of waiting in shark cages, competitors now entered one at a time when their cue hit—a small but noticeable shift in how the chaos unfolded.
