Roman Reigns has won the 2026 Men’s WWE Royal Rumble match, emerging victorious at today’s January 31 premium live event.
Roman Reigns Faced Off Against Family
Following Liv Morgan’s win in the Women’s Royal Rumble to open the show, the men’s Rumble closed the night. The final seven competitors came down to Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, GUNTHER, Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and Logan Paul.
Rhodes was the first of that group eliminated after being hit with a Claymore by Drew McIntyre, the Undisputed WWE Champion, who interfered despite not being an entrant in the match.
Reigns then capitalized on a distracted Fatu to eliminate him, before quickly dumping Jey Uso as well. That left the final four: Reigns, GUNTHER, Logan Paul, and Orton.
The field narrowed further as Reigns eliminated Paul, while GUNTHER sent Orton over the top rope. With the match down to Reigns and GUNTHER, Reigns managed to throw the Austrian powerhouse out to secure the victory. The win marks Reigns’ second Royal Rumble triumph, having previously won the match in 2015. Earlier in the night, GUNTHER had already defeated AJ Styles in a singles match, forcing Styles into retirement.
Reigns Earns a WrestleMania
With the victory, Reigns earns a championship match at WrestleMania 42 this April, where he will challenge for either the Undisputed WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship.
Those titles are currently held by McIntyre and CM Punk respectively, though plenty could change before WrestleMania arrives.
