New Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned at SummerSlam

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Over the last couple of months, few storylines in WWE have delivered as much chaos and chemistry as the unexpected alliance between Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. What started as a forced team-up between two rivals turned into a tense partnership—and then, surprisingly, into a cohesive unit with one goal: Championship gold. But standing in their way at SummerSlam was a tough Judgment Day duo and the ever-present possibility that one of them might turn on the other before the final bell.

New Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned

The match kicked off with Bliss and Perez locking up, but it didn’t take long for Charlotte to tag in and make her presence felt. She dropped Perez with a clothesline and knocked Rodriguez off the apron, but Raquel wasn’t about to let that slide. Once she got the tag, Rodriguez slowed the pace and kept Flair grounded, cutting off her path to Bliss and controlling the ring. Flair broke the momentum with a slick hurricanrana, but Perez jumped back in and yanked Flair away from a potential tag.

Eventually, Flair fought free and tagged in Bliss, who exploded into the match with a flurry of strikes. She nearly put Perez away, but Rodriguez broke up the pin. Raquel then blasted Flair off the apron, only for Bliss to return the favor and shove her to the floor—though not before Perez gouged Bliss in the eyes. The match stayed unpredictable from that point on.

Perez missed a moonsault and tagged in Rodriguez, who clobbered Bliss with a thunderous clothesline. Bliss barely kicked out. Perez re-entered and kept pouring it on, but Bliss refused to stay down. After absorbing the punishment, Bliss finally dropped Perez and crawled toward her corner—and Flair made the tag, flying off the top rope with a huge crossbody to wipe out both opponents.

Charlotte Flair and Alex Bliss Must See Tag Team

Flair followed up with heavy chops, focusing on Rodriguez, and even landed a big clothesline on Raquel. She went for the pin, but Rodriguez kicked out, keeping Judgment Day alive. Then came the miscue—Rodriguez dodged out of the way, and Bliss accidentally took out Flair. Perez took advantage, hitting Pop Rocks on Charlotte, but Bliss dove in at the last second to break up the count and keep the match going.

Bliss dodged a charging Rodriguez, who went shoulder-first into the ring post. With Flair still recovering, Bliss tagged herself back in and squared up with Perez. After a stiff shot to the face, Bliss set up for Sister Abigail—but just as it looked like Flair might turn on her partner, she instead nailed Rodriguez with a big boot. That left the door wide open for Bliss to hit Sister Abigail on Perez and score the win.
