WWE NXT Enters a New Era on The CW

WWE NXT has officially entered a new era on The CW, and with a fresh start comes an entirely new look for the brand. Right from the first episode, it was clear that things were different. WWE introduced a new show intro and revealed a sleek silver NXT logo, signaling the shift away from the NXT 2.0 era. But that wasn’t all—the premiere also showcased brand-new versions of the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship, both now in silver. The NXT 2.0 era is officially in the past.

A Fresh Start for WWE NXT

The CW premiere kicked off with Shawn Michaels leading the charge, but he wasn’t alone. Triple H joined him to introduce this new chapter, sending the crowd into a frenzy with their reunion. The new logo is primarily silver, accented with black and white, making it a nod to the original black-and-gold design that NXT was known for. While it’s not exactly gold, the new logo carries a sleekness that strips away the bright colors from the NXT 2.0 phase.

The new show intro adds a touch of gold to complement the silver branding, mixing in some comic book-inspired visuals and slow-motion effects. Spotlights on stars like Karmen, Lola, and Wendy Choo bring out the best of the new style. One standout moment from the premiere features Giulia’s knee strike, slowed down during her match with Chelsea Green, adding extra flair to the presentation.

Another major update came with the reveal of the revamped NXT and NXT Women’s Championships. Both titles now feature silver NXT logos front and center, with gold accents that enhance the darker parts of the central plate. The NXT Championship sits on a black leather belt, while the NXT Women’s Championship is paired with a white belt, and both belts are visually stunning.

Updated Championships

The North American and Women’s North American Championships are expected to remain unchanged for now, especially since the Women’s North American title was only recently introduced. However, the NXT Tag Team Championships could be next in line for an upgrade. Currently, only the men’s Tag Team Titles would be affected, as the Women’s Tag Team Championships are shared across brands and more frequently appear on SmackDown and Raw.

Capping off all the changes was the introduction of a new official theme song for the show, “Millions From Now” by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. The song, along with the updated logo, intro, and arena graphics, brought a fresh energy to NXT’s debut on The CW. It’s clear that WWE is embracing this new era with open arms, giving the show a bold new identity to match its shift to a new network.

The new look, sound, and championships are just the beginning of what fans can expect from this next phase of WWE NXT on The CW.
