Broccoli and Harry Saltzman for bringing Bond to theaters, and to Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for fiercely protecting the franchise’s legacy. Now, we’re honored to carry that torch into the future and bring Bond’s next chapter to audiences worldwide.”
Wilson, a defining force behind 007 for nearly six decades, is stepping away from the films. “With my career in the Bond universe spanning almost 60 years, I’ve decided to shift my focus to art and charitable work. Barbara and I both feel it’s the right time for Amazon MGM Studios to take the lead on Bond’s future.”
Broccoli, whose life has been dedicated to the franchise, is also ready to pivot. “Michael and I have spent our careers protecting and expanding the extraordinary legacy left to us by our father, Cubby Broccoli. I’ve been lucky enough to work with four incredible actors as Bond and countless talented artists in the industry. Now that No Time to Die has closed one chapter and Michael is stepping back, I feel it’s time for me to focus on new projects.”
Amazon acquired MGM in 2022, scoring a treasure trove of over 4,000 films and 17,000 TV episodes—including the full Bond collection.
